Specifications decide what you can actually use.
BecSpec builds selectors for products where getting the numbers right is the difference between a part that works and a part that doesn't. Each one matches against openly licensed data, shows its reasoning, and says plainly what it cannot tell you.
Deterministic, not ranked by a score
Every result shows which of your requirements were confirmed, which differ and by how much, and which the data cannot answer. The rules are published and the ordering is reproducible by hand.
Honest about gaps
Where a dataset does not carry a field, BecSpec says so rather than filling it with a typical value. Absent is a real answer, and usually a more useful one than a guess.
Rights-clean data only
Nothing is scraped. Sources are used only where licensing permits the reuse. Where reuse rights are unclear, a source is treated as unavailable until that is resolved.
